Falcon 50EX

Meet the Dassault Falcon 50EX

A true original in private aviation, the Falcon 50EX combines intercontinental reach with the agility to slip into smaller airports—often closer to your final destination. Born from Dassault’s legendary fighter-jet DNA, it’s the rare jet that feels both effortlessly refined and reassuringly capable.

A brief origin story

Dassault took the much-loved Falcon 50 and elevated it with the 50EX in the mid-1990s, adding more efficient Honeywell (AlliedSignal) TFE731-40 engines and modernized avionics. The 50EX first flew in 1996, bringing better fuel burn and longer legs to the already iconic trijet formula. Production continued into the 2000s, closing out the Falcon 50 line with the EX as its pinnacle.

What you’ll feel on board

  • Calm, quiet cabin with seating typically for up to nine—ideal for business teams or families traveling together.
  • Generous baggage (about 115 ft³) for skis, golf bags, and week-long wardrobes.
  • Thoughtful layout that supports dining, working, or reclining—plus the refined ride quality Dassault is known for.

Performance that matters to passengers

  • Range: Plan nonstop missions of roughly 3,200–3,350 nautical miles—think Dubai–Paris, New York–Los Cabos, or Lisbon–Salalah—depending on passengers, winds, and weather.
  • Speed: Cruise smoothly around Mach 0.80–0.84 (about 417–481 knots), keeping your itinerary tight without sacrificing comfort.
  • Altitude: Slip above most weather at up to 49,000 ft for a smoother, quieter ride.
  • Runway access: Typical takeoff needs are around 4,900–4,950 ft with landing distances near 2,100–2,200 ft, opening up smaller, more convenient airports to save you ground time.

Confidence across oceans

The Falcon 50EX’s distinctive three-engine layout isn’t just an icon—it’s part of what made this jet a favorite for transoceanic routes, offering added reassurance on long water crossings while maintaining a solid Mach 0.8 cruise.

The passenger promise

Go farther, arrive fresher, and land closer to where you actually want to be. With its long legs, short-field finesse, and quietly luxurious cabin, the Falcon 50EX turns complex itineraries into simple, direct journeys—so your time in the air feels like the easiest part of your day.
