We have discussed this issue before, but this is what it is like at the end.
Thanks to our integrated IT system, all our flights are uploaded from Leon to Azzera servers daily. From there our tailored Portfolio buys carbon offset credits and claims them against our operation. There is always some room for improvement of course, but we have it implemented and it is working.
AIR VITOSHA is carbon neutral in operations from day one as promised. Some talk some do.
Aviation is a world of Policies, Procedures, Practices and on top of it the Philosophy of the company that leads the pack…This scheme emerged in the late 80’s from the work of A.DEGANI and E. WIENER, the goal was to evaluate how to create and monitor the Standard Operating Procedures in a flight deck, and how to make them accepted and making sense to all stakeholders.
At AIR VITOSHA the management philosophy is embedded in all of our actions. The successful adherence to the Policies is managed throughout the life cycle of any event. The Procedures are rehearsed during employees indoctrination and also during a yearly refresher for all the workforce. For CO2 emission, the global achievement requires everyone to participate and being convinced of the outcome, else it does not work. The most advertised and challenged event in our industry is the amount of CO2 emitted by any airplane.
Our flight profiles and SOP’s are designed to “beat” the manufacturer numbers of fuel consumption, our fuel load is monitored at dispatch level, and at last but not least, at the conclusion of every flight, the CO2 emissions are offset through our partner AZZERA which is collecting our fuel consumption directly from our scheduling software.
That means that from the get-go, AIR VITOSHA is Carbon Neutral in operations. We are contributing to a worldwide offset with every single flight. As soon as meaningful data will be available we will share them here.
The other CO2 emissions are also offset and the products life cycle are carefully evaluated for a net zero result.
So even if VTO colors are a mix of purple, blue and grey, we are also green….
CAMP Aircraft Management provides comprehensive tools and services to track, plan, and manage scheduled and predictive maintenance for Air Vitosha airplanes. Fully integrated with Leon Software, everyone from CAMO to the pilots via the dispatchers knows the status of the airframe, not only now but also in the coming hours / days. This allows an optimal decision to be taken in order not to exceed any maintenance stop on the road.
The Learjet 31A flies for more than three hours up to FL490.. The newly refurbished crew seats will make this time very comfortable. Leather and sheepskin…What a treat !
What a pleasure to work with the Maltese authorities; TM-CAD has stellar performance. Within 48 hours our 3LD ” VTO” and Call Sign ” VITOSHA” has been processed and accepted.
Here we are ! Less than 6 months after launch and many bumps on the road, we finally get our Learjet 31A. The plane will go now into a specialized maintenance shop to perform a rejuvenating process and will come to Air Vitosha International. First batch of crew is finishing it’s training, and the second one’s are due in October, they will be ready for the entry into service later this year.
A true team effort, especially on the last hours of the closing with intervenants spanning 10 time zones !
Stay tune for the full details and a dedicated page for this beautiful low time airplane, fully equipped with the latest avionics requirements allowing an unrestrictive access to all airspaces within it’s reach.
